20's - 30's Group Mission Statement:

The 20's - 30's Group is a community of adults (18 and older) exploring together the nature of faith and different spiritual practices. We strive to be inclusive, balanced, and perpetually seeking.

 

Description:

The 20's - 30's group meets in a variety of formats to explore faith together such as a Wednesday Dinner and Book Group, Thursday Night Multi-faith Discussion Group, Sunday Morning Classes, Service Opportunities, Retreats, and Fellowship Events.

Small groups (circles) gather at various times – morning, afternoon or evening – for fellowship and activities that can include Bible study, quilting, book discussions, and/or mission. Book Circles with Joy Dorf all meet on the 1st Thursday of every other month beginning in October in the DCC Library.  Times:  Deborah Circle at 10:00 a.m., Rebecca Circle at 2:00 p.m., Mary Circle at 7:00 p.m. 

 

Elizabeth Circle facilitated by Vickie Ito meets at 9:30 a.m. on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays in the Fireside Room for the Horizons Bible study and local mission. 

 

Esther Circle facilitated by Lee Ann Bailey meets at 7:00 p.m. on the 2nd and 4th Mondays in the DCC library for quilting and fellowship. 

 

Leah Circle facilitated by Mary Kay meets at 1:30 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month in the DCC library.  Pastor Tricia Hill leads the Bible study in this circle. 

 

Lydia Circle facilitated by Betty Lou Schultz meets at 7:00 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month in the DCC library to do the Horizons Bible study and Adopt a Social Worker mission. 

 

Miriam Circle facilitated by Betty Lou Schultz meets at noon on the third Sunday of each month in the Fireside room for sharing a meal, Bible study, and knitting/crocheting projects such as prayer shawls. 

 

Naomi Circle facilitated by Chris Beck meets on the 3rd Monday of each month in circle members’ homes for the Horizons Bible study, fellowship, and local mission such as IRWS. 

 

Ruth Circle facilitated by Elizabeth Bradford meets on the 4th Thursday of each month in circle members’ homes for doing the Horizons Bible study and fellowship.

Food, Friends and Good Music led by David Deffner.  That's Soup ‘n’ Song!  

A monthly lunchtime gathering for fellowship over a simple lunch followed by a sing-a-long of favorite old hymns and songs.   This event is geared toward our more senior friends but all are welcome!

Prime Time. 
A fellowship group for those who are close to retirement or recently retired.  Gatherings focus around meals and fellowship – gatherings of the whole group as well as in groups of nine.  Dinner Groups meet for three months, then there is a general gathering and new dinner groups are established.  Contact David Rausch (530) 756-4999.
