DCC is a diverse congregation of people seeking God: asking questions, searching for truth, listening to scripture and to one another. We are interested in growing as Christians and in living out the Gospel's truth in our lives and work. We want to help build God's realm of justice and truth throughout society.
DCC is committed to its bottom up leadership. The ministries of the church are led by those who are most active in each area. Meet the Lay Ministries.
If that's the kind of Christian community you're looking for, welcome home!

It is long-standing tradition at Davis Community Church to gather after worship and meet those with whom we worship. Between services, coffee and refreshments are served and you are invited to join us. Often during Coffee Hour, one of the ministries of the church will be on hand to invite people to participate in upcoming events or distribute information. During the program year, Coffee Hour is at the back of the Sanctuary. During the summer months, punch and coffee are served on the C St patio. Stop by, introduce yourself and feel free to ask any questions you might have about Davis Community Church. |

Gandhi Now Facilitated by Vicky Powers, Nadene Donner, and Carol Stedronsky Sunday mornings beginning September 19 How does Mahatma (Mahondas) Gandhi's message relate to us in the twenty-first century and how does this lead us to respond to his teachings and his hopes for humankind? Come explore the life of Gandhi from the perspective of his grandson. Read from Gandhi's own teachings and wisdom and discover how you resonate with his message through art and your original written word. We will be sharing our work in our newly launched "art gallery" in the coffee gathering area of the Sanctuary in the weeks following the class. This experience will culminate with the visit from Rajmohan Gandhi at Davis Community Church on October 24th.
The Upper Sanctuary, located upstairs in the Sanctuary building, is a place for creating art as an expression of faith. It is broadly defined and includes everything from sewing, knitting and needlework to soul collage, seasonal creations, and spiritual writing. No particular expertise is required. The Upper Sanctuary is a place for exploring faith in art at whatever level you enjoy.

As we begin our second year of Small Groups Ministry in September, several new groups are forming, and several on-going groups are welcoming new members. Over the past year many folks at DCC experienced the support, community, and deepening of faith that comes from participating in one of these groups that help us grow as disciples. If you were not one of them, a new quarter starts in September. Contact the facilitator to join a group or just to get more information.
