Todd Haabe and his band create original, unforgettable flamenco music that is intense but not strictly traditional. Haabe comes from a rock background and infuses his music with a surprising sound. Samples can be heard on his website:

DCC’s Summer Family Choir
If you’ve always wanted to sing in a choir but didn’t feel you could make a commitment for weekly rehearsals, consider singing in DCC’s “Family Choir” this summer. Beginning June 20 we will meet in the Music Room at 8:30 a.m. to prepare a simple anthem for the 9:00 a.m. worship service. All ages are welcome--come for as many or as few Sundays as you like.

Cherub Choir (children in grades K-3)
Director Mary Kay introduces the children to the music of the church and instills in them a love for singing. The Cherub Choir meets on Thursdays from 4:00 to 4:45 p.m. in the Music Room, and occasionally sings during one of the two Sunday worship services. Carol Choir (children in grades 4-6) (Currently inactive)
Director David Deffner leads the children in weekly rehearsals, expanding their understanding of singing. The Carol Choir has met on Thursdays from 4:00 to 4:45 p.m. in the Music Room, and has sung about once a month in worship. The Chancel Choir sings a wide range of anthems, from classic to contemporary, and presents special concerts during the year. The choir sings every Sunday in worship from September through early June. Rehearsals are Thursdays from 7:00-9:00 p.m. in the Music Room. Director Norma Meyer leads two different bell choirs, both of which are open to junior and senior high youths, college-aged students and adults. The choirs play a 4½-octave set of English hand bells and each plays in worship once a month. They also offer concerts in the church and participate in regional hand bell festivals and workshops. The choirs rehearse in the Music Room each Wednesday through the school year at 6:15 and at 7:30 PM. For more information, please contact Norma Meyer or the church office at 530-753-2894. Worship Band (the young at heart, regardless of age)
An eclectic combination of musicians and singers who lead the music during the non-traditional worship service that starts at 11:00 on Sunday mornings. The core group sings and/or plays guitar, flute, piano, violin, and various small percussion instruments. Instrumentalists and singers are always welcome to join the group for any particular Sunday service. No long term commitment required! DCC is blessed with a wide variety of musicians who offer their music in praise of God in worship. Soloists and ensembles – both vocal and instrumental – add to the range of music enjoyed during worship. Guitarists and violinists also regularly offer their support. The Cherub, Carol, Youth, Chancel, and Bell Choir meet during the school year. They do not meet during the summer. During the summer, our Family Choir sings at the 9:00 a.m. Sunday worship service. Rehearsals are in the Music Room a half hour before the service. All are welcome to join the Family Choir for any particular service. No long term commitment required!
